PsychoPsycho Bates House

Hitchcock's Psycho is a horror film and a movie classic. This black and white film shocked the world when Alfred Hitchcock released it. It has been remade once, but the best version is still the original staring Anthony Perkins as the creepy Norman Bates. There are so many things to study in this film you will have to watch it over and over. It's not only a top horror film but a top classic film as well.

Friday the 13th

If you want to get a taste of horror cheese films from the 1970s and 1980s watch the first three Friday the 13th movies. These inexpensive and simple films scared the pants off of Generation X. I don't recommend any of the Friday the 13th movies past the eighties because they reach a level of cheese that's not even enjoyable.

The Shining

Stephen King and Stanley Kubrick's The Shining is my personal favorite for psychological thrillers. Watching the slow break down of Jack Torrance, played by Jack Nicholson, is a historical movie moment. This movie is best watched late at night or on cold and rainy days. This is a must have film for any movie buff.

The Exorcist

cute little girlThe Exorcist from 1973 freaked some out so bad that they started going to church. This movie somehow made the theater goers believe that the Devil himself was with them. This is a horror film that will stand the test of time and scare viewers for hundreds of years to come.

Is this picture talking to you? Can you feel it? She's moving you know. She's looking through the screen at you. Evil is watching you right now. Go ahead, turn around. s'ehs dniheb uoy.

The Exorcist Movie Quotes

What an excellent day for an exorcism.

Especially important is the warning to avoid conversations with the demon... He is a liar. The demon is a liar. He will lie to confuse us. But he will also mix lies with the truth to attack us. . So don't listen to him. Remember that - do not listen.
