Tybee Island

Just down the road from Savannah is Tybee Island. Tybee is a great place to go spend an afternoon while you are visiting Savannah. It is a laid back beach inhabited by very friendly folks. Tybee is not the type of place you should plan a special trip to go see, but it makes a fun place to include in your Savannah trip. However, if you enjoy being near the ocean when you sleep then getting a motel on the beach on Tybee Island might be somthing to consider.
