Colorado Lodges

Located in downtown Aspen, the Aspen Mountain Lodge has 38 rooms. There is a large rock fireplace in the lobby with guest rooms that face the open courtyard. The rooms include refrigerators and some of them have private balconies and jetted tubs. The lodge is within walking distance of downtown with its many shops and restaurants as well as the shuttle bus route to the slopes.

In the Boulder area, check out the 1896 Victorian Briar Rose Bed and Breakfast which boasts authentic rooms; including an extended stay suite with a full kitchen which can be rented on a weekly or monthly basis. On e of the highlights for guest is the afternoon tea time where you can try a variety of teas and the bed and breakfasts famous shortbread cookies.

Historic Castle Marne Inn located in Denver is an 1889 building converted to a beautiful bed and breakfast. The castle-like structure designed by Denver architect William Lang is listed on the National Register of Historic Structures. It is furnished with period antiques, family heirlooms, and stained glass windows. The three story building has 9 rooms of various sizes and some include whirlpools for one or two, one room even has an 18 foot cathedral ceiling. You can enjoy afternoon tea in the parlor or garden, or make reservations for a private candlelight dinner.

Do you love to fish and donít want to have to go that far? Then stay in the Boulder Brook on Fall River where you can hear the babbling brook outside you back door or watch from the ďSpa RoomĒ. The two story inn has 16 rooms convenient to the lake, river, steam or creek where you can fish to your heartís content.

For a true western experience, try staying at C Lazy U Ranch in Granby. Here you will find the gorgeous Colorado countryside and a chance to go back to when life was simple. There are no TVís or telephones in the western style rooms, but you will find rustic fireplaces. All meals are served family style in the main lodge with a fireside sing-along in the evenings. Summertime activities include hiking, biking, and swimming and in the winter you can go snowshoeing, skiing and go on sleigh rides. Horsemanship is the main focus, and you will have your own horse for as long as you stay.
