Yosemite Half Dome Hike

Half Dome has become a symbol of Yosemite. If Yosemite is the most photographed place in the world then Half Dome must be the most photographed thing in the world. Even if you don't know what Half Dome is or where it is you have probably seen it before in pictures. If you are a hiker or just want to try a fun hike with a great climax then the trail to Half Dome may be for you.

The Half Dome hike is usually a fairly easy one if you are in decent shape, but at certain times of the year it can become a challenge that should be reserved for only the experienced outdoor person. In May 2005, after a winter of super deep snow, three of us headed up the Half Dome trail to encounter trails engulfed in rushing water and deep snow.
