Dinosaur National Monument

Dinosaur National Monument is a325 square mile monument in the northwest corner of Colorado and is the site of one of the world’s largest concentrations of fossilized dinosaur bones. As you tour the quarry wall, you will see up to 1,500 fossils. At the Dinosaur Quarry in the visitor’s center you will find dinosaur remains and a preparation lab. There also display panels, an audio visual program and talks.

The Dinosaur National Monument also offers several outdoor activities and programs. You can enjoy camping in the Green River Campgrounds or Deerlodge Campgrounds, take a guided or self-guided nature walk, go fishing, backpacking, or even river rafting. The park service also offers evening campfire programs, children’s programs, and during the summers, there are dinosaur talks.
